...Staging?
What is Home Staging?

Staging is the art of preparing a home for resale by showing it off to its best advantage.

This can be done equally well in vacant homes by introducing the right furnishings or in occupied homes by removing clutter, paring down furnishings and divesting it of personal items – i.e. family photos, fridge magnets – and decorating it to show off the home’s features and draw the buyer's eye away from any defects.

The idea is to appeal to the broadest market possible, by the use of neutral colours and minimal furniture so that the potential buyer can imagine themselves happily living there. Statistics show that by staging a home, both the homeowner and the agent benefit from a quicker sale and a bigger profit.
